Lancashire and Cheshire Woodcarvers
August 19th 2007
Queen's Park, Burnley

Another soggy Sunday in a marquee on a soggy park.      The sun brought the public to the park and the showers drove them into the marquee so we had lots of visitors.     We were on the high dry land, the other stalls in the marquee were surrounded by a sea of mud

The star of the show was Norman Jackson.   He had brought a carving he had done while on holiday at an Austrian carving school.    Although it was not a self portrait, when he was in the appropriate dress, it could easily have been one.
