Scarecrow Festival at Charnock Richard
The Charnock Richard Scarecrow Festival was a new
event for us , and we displayed carvings and demonstrated in the chancel of the
village church. We enjoyed listening to an organ recital on both days, and had
a steady stream of visitors, but predictably, the church emptied for the grand
parade on Sunday afternoon. Scarecrows abounded, in many shapes and sizes,
around the village.
