John Adamson continued from September's 'How to start a carving' by looking into alternatives to photographs. His examples of research included a toy horse, a pot owl, stuffed owls from Cliffe Castle museum, Keighley, a put it together yourself plastic model of motorcycle. He explained how he scales up and down from these sources to the size of the carving but the mathematics of this proved difficult. His got advice from club members and used the Resource Books kept in the library.
