Nick Pantelides gave a talk and demonstration on the 'Safety aspects of sharpening' which sounds such a dry subject but it raised serious discussion and disagreement. The main contention was that the government's Health and Safety rules conflicted with the methods advised by the suppliers of the equipment and members favoured way of working. It was good to scrutinise the way we do things and see what other do.
