I have always been a keen
D.I.Y enthusiast, but had never carved wood until a few years ago when I
saw an advertisement for carving classes run by the local authority. So, in
effect, I started woodcarving on a whim and got hooked.I learned the basics at
the classes, which was run by a Cub member, then progressed by joining the Club
myself. I still class myself as a novice, as the time I have to carve is very
very limited. Perhaps it will change one day! All fellow member are only too
willing to impart their vast amount of knowledge and expertise, should it be
needed. At the moment I am trying to master the use of knives. Should anyone be
considerdering taking up carving, I strongly recommend that they do.
