Experience

Started carving aged 8 and was basically self taught until I did a B.A. in Sculpture at the age of 55.   Now I make money although not a living from commissions - large chainsaw carvings from standing trees and more intimate sculptures for private and corporate clients.

Preferred subject

The human figure as this is the animal I see most often, and the one I can get most expression and interconnectivity from.

Specialists Tools and Skills

Chainsaws and bandsaw.      Not qualified or insured for tree felling but can do most other things with a chainsaw.
